Boat Donations
Why Donate
The SailFuture boat donation program has been in operation since 2013, accepting sailing vessels, motor boats, and yachts to benefit the kids, families, and communities we serve.
Boat donations provide donors and yacht brokers with an alternative to the costly and timely process of selling a used boat.
Donors benefit from immediate relief from holding costs and obtain a reasonable tax deduction from a reputable 501c3 charity and yacht brokers still receive their commission.
The process is convenient and fast and SailFuture’s team of experts works year round to support brokers and donors through the gift process
Boat Donation Benefits
Charitable Tax Deduction
SailFuture is a 501(c)(3) and you are eligible to claim a charitable deduction on your federal income tax return. Deductions can be applied for up to 5 years, and are determined by the appraised value of the boat or property.
Impact
Your vessel will be utilized as a platform to shape the lives of young men and women in foster care, propelling them into adulthood with the skills and supports necessary to live a meaningful life.
Immediate Relief
SailFuture accepts donations year-round and can often complete a donation acceptance in as little as two weeks, providing immediate relief from the owner’s holding costs.
Legacy
Your vessel will be utilized as a platform for our kids and families to transform their lives and reach their full potential. It’s more than a write-off, it’s part of your legacy.
