Program Overview
The Life Skills Center provides daytime supervision and support to youth in crisis between 6am and 10pm 7 days a week, 365 days per year.
Youth attending the center participate in daily life skills activities, ranging from kayaking and swimming lessons to GED tutoring and mental health counselling.
Our objective for youth at the life skills center is to help them find stability and hope while placement and case management work to identify a long-term home.

Open 363 Days a Year
Closed on Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day
Who We Serve
The Life Skills Center serves boys and girls in foster care ages 13 – 17 who are in crisis and need daytime supervision and stabilization support.
Most youth served are not currently attending school and do not have a permanent placement in foster care – meaning that they do not know where they are sleeping from one night to the next.
